Dog Boarding Overnight & Day Boarding
Whether you’re traveling for work, taking a vacation, or need care during a busy day, ALACIE Gundogs provides boarding in Ord, Nebraska, for dogs of all breeds. Our approach centers on understanding your dog’s routine, providing appropriate housing, and making time for outdoor activity throughout the stay.
Dogs are generally housed individually. Compatible dogs from the same household may share a kennel when appropriate. Each dog receives multiple outdoor breaks with time to stretch, exercise, use the restroom, and enjoy suitable toys and activities for physical and mental stimulation.
We ask owners to bring their dog’s normal food and clear feeding instructions. Keeping familiar food available helps us follow the routine you provide. If food is needed and you haven’t supplied it, ALACIE can provide food for an additional $4 per dog, per day.
You’re welcome to bring a familiar blanket, bedding, toys, or chews. We may remove any item that becomes unsafe or that your dog begins ingesting. Please tell us about medical conditions, medications, dietary sensitivities, behavioral concerns, and special care needs before arrival so we can determine whether boarding is a suitable fit.
Day Boarding
Need care while you’re at work or away for the day? Day Boarding offers daytime kennel care with multiple outdoor breaks and appropriate activity.
- Rate: $20 per dog, per day.
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, by reservation.
- Weekends: By appointment.
- Same-day requests: May be accepted when space allows.
- Payment: Due at drop-off.
Day Boarding provides kennel care rather than all-day group play. Training add-ons are not currently included in this service. Bring food and feeding instructions if your dog needs a meal during the day. Late pickups are handled individually.
Who we’re a good fit for
We welcome sporting dogs and family companions of all breeds whose health and behavior allow safe handling and kennel care. Please disclose any history of aggression, biting, resource guarding, escape behavior, kennel destruction, or significant separation distress before requesting a stay.
Aggressive dogs are not accepted. Females in heat may board when disclosed in advance.
Vaccinations and arrival requirements
Dogs must have records for:
- Rabies.
- DHPP/DAPP.
- Bordetella.
Provide vaccination records before arrival or at check-in. ALACIE may refuse check-in for fleas or ticks, persistent coughing, obvious illness, signs of contagious disease, or unsafe behavior.
Medication and special care
Basic oral and topical medication administration is included at no extra charge when you provide clear written instructions. Medications may arrive in their original bottle or a pre-sorted bag or container.
Include the medication name, dose, administration times, and any relevant handling instructions. Discuss other medical or special-care needs before booking.
If a dog develops an illness or condition during the stay that requires isolation or separate management, an additional $10 per day applies.

Reservations, payment, and cancellation
Request your preferred dates and provide information about your dog so ALACIE can review availability and care needs. Reservations remain subject to ALACIE approval.
Payment for boarding and Day Boarding is due at drop-off. Additional charges arising during the stay—such as unexpected extensions, food, separate care, or treatment - are settled afterward.
Cancellations made with reasonable notice carry no charge. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in a requirement for prepayment on future reservations.
Overnight boarding drop-off and pickup are scheduled by appointment, preferably during regular weekday business hours.
Veterinary care
If ALACIE reasonably believes your dog needs veterinary attention, we may take your dog to a licensed veterinarian. We normally attempt to contact you first. If urgent care is needed and you cannot be reached, ALACIE may authorize reasonably necessary care, excluding euthanasia.
Owners are responsible for veterinary, treatment, medication, and transportation costs. ALACIE selects the clinic used during the stay. Euthanasia requires direct owner approval; emergency contacts do not have authority to approve it.
