German Shorthaired Pointer · Female · Personal Hunting Dog

Izzy came to ALACIE from Art at Armbrust Kennels in Gretna, Nebraska, and has become one of the best dogs Ryan has ever hunted behind. Small, fast, and efficient in the field, she brings the kind of ability that makes a day of upland hunting memorable.

She covers ground exceptionally well, finds birds consistently, and holds a beautiful point. Her field work has earned her a lasting place among Ryan’s trusted hunting partners, and people who hunt behind her tend to remember her.

Izzy also has her own clear preferences. Playing fetch in the yard holds little interest for her, but when a bird is shot over her, she retrieves it. Her enthusiasm comes from the hunt itself and the work that gives the retrieve a purpose.

Water is another matter. Izzy generally prefers to stay out of it, although a live bird can give her enough reason to get in. That distinction is part of her honest story: she has outstanding upland strengths alongside a personality and preferences of her own.

Izzy is not part of ALACIE’s breeding program. Her place here comes from the hunting experiences she has helped create and the ability she demonstrates in the field. She remains an important part of the ALACIE team—a memorable hunting partner with speed, bird sense, and a point worth walking up to.
